Jellico Junior Fire Department - Circa. 1926

Top Left - L. D. Baird (Driver)
Top Second from Left - W. C. Deuel (1916-1988)
Top Third from Left - Billie McComb (Aviator's cap)
Top Right - Charlie Rapier (Not sure on the spelling of last name)
Bottom Left - John Lewis Turnblazer (Holding hose)
Bottom Right - Bill Turnblazer (John's brother)

The above picture appeared in the Jellico Advance Sentinel, but I don't know when. Below is what was printed with the photograph:

       Reaching Back:
These young fellows (in 1933-34) used to race the Jellico Fire Department to the scene of each fire. The Jellico Junior Fire Department's greatest thrill was to get to the fire first and get water on it before the regulars arrived. They did it sometimes, too. Remember any of these faces?

I beleive the year "1933-34" to be incorrect. Nineteen twenty six-seven would be a more accurate estimate.
